New Voting Precinct Numbers

Here is some new information and old reminders that are worth repeating:

  1. The majority of us are no longer in precinct 1026. It is in Frisco now. Most of us are in 1047. I have attached a map below.

  2. If you don’t vote for two consecutive Presidential elections, you will be purged from the list of active voters. You need to register again.

  3. You can vote anywhere in Denton County during Early Voting unless it is a Special Called. They have the right to request their own ballot and location.

  4. On Election Day, you are required to go to your designated voting location.

  5. In the event that you are eligible to vote, but they will not allow you, ask for the election judge. If needed ask for a contested ballot. In the event that the race is close they count them while you still retain your right to exercise to vote. This happens frequently when people forget to change their addresses.

  6. We do NOT live in the city. Therefore, you can not vote in Aubrey or Little Elm elections. There is a blog that explains it fully.

  7. You can find sample ballots, check the status of your registration, and find out who your reps are at votedenton.org.

  8. I am a Voter Registrar, so if you have any questions, please let me know.
