Safety & Security Tip #1 - Blinds

I have been doing a series of safety and security tips on Nextdoor that I am going to share here as well.

Do you ever wonder what to do with your blinds?

The decorator will tell you to close them down. The person that wants to save on their electricity and/or gas will tell you to turn them up in the winter. The *retired* security professional will always tell you to turn them DOWN. Here's why. If you turn them down, when someone is outside, looking up (especially onto a second floor), they're met with double slats. When they're turned up, there's a gap which allows you to see right through at an angle.
